MOTOR MORONS - OTTOBAR - 8-30-02
OUT OF PRINT!

I had this idea to record the band without telling the band. Only me and Sam knew. The result was a loose relaxed great sounding live show, and thusly the CD is a perfect rendering of a Motor Morons show.

"Baltimore was next and the show featured a performance by the Motor Morons. Hands down the most fun band I saw on tour. More like a factory with instruments. They were a clanging, banging, cacophony of sparks, beats, shrieks and hollers. The two women, four man, one grinder, two driver drills, one circular saw and one industrial blower equipped band were a joy to behold. Doug Lunn votes them “best in show”."

fuck! the best band in baltimore, the best bar band! ever!

just back form seeign these fools tonight, every little bird in the
know has been chirping down my ears for me to see these people play.
These guys are the essenc eof what every bar band trys to accomplish,
all thee songs are about cars, engines, and highways, real noramsl
sing along stuff (they dont write any new songs, most songs are 20
years old) sounds and feels like joe meek/tornadoes type crusing rock
stuff, except these people are modern mutants,
drummer is huge and fat and is a biker with a huge beard and frizzy
hair ; bassist is that old wasted/stoner guy that canges your car oil
also has the same bass and same piano bass string sice the band
stated; guitarist is just looks like a slob, younger guys
on 'percussion' amplified weed wackers, drills, and power saws; then
theirs other percussionst/singers that are soccermoms who have been
kidnapped or out one wild night, who play a grinder (with coffee cans
for sparks), car engine (hit with wrench), hub caps (bang em together
even tho you cant hear em).

These people are nuts, a total party band everyone loves em and sings
along, completely degenerate into a new form of disFUNction.
supposedly a million of poeple have passed thru this band, only the
strong survive.

im at a loss for any more words.
